our beautiful Island home with the world, but more importantly, to educate and inspire others to be conscious travelers during their stay here and beyond.

About the show: Hawaii – sun, surf, aloha, paradise. There’s no doubt why this place frequently tops the list for most desired places to travel to. As local residents, we are keenly aware of just how dependent we are on tourism. In 2020, COVID-19 wreaked havoc on a global scale and Hawaii’s economy was nearly decimated. In a matter of weeks, we went from a staggering (and let’s be honest, a little overwhelming) 200,000 visitors a week to virtually zero. As we step into a post-pandemic world – overtourism vs. no tourism – we don’t believe that’s really the debate anymore. We have a chance to reshape the industry, but only if both visitors and locals work together.
